About Us

Driving Tradition

We've come a long way since the 1940s, but Baker Truck Service has always stayed true to the strong family values and exceptional standards we started with in Grangeville. Our operations and presence throughout the Pacific Northwest has grown, and we are regularly looking for new drivers to join our team.

Servicing routes in Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Canada, we have competitive pay, great benefits, and a professional team committed to quality products.

“They have provided quality trucking service for 74 years, and we’re excited for that to continue under IFG. We’re thankful to Brad Baker and his family for allowing us to keep the name as part of the acquisition.”

Jesse Short, IFG Chief Operating Officer

Growing Fleet

IFG added a second piece to its trucking business with the acquisition of Residual Hauling, from the Western Transport Company, which hauled chips and other residuals across Idaho and Montana for more than 20 years.

Today, Baker Truck Service is playing an integral role in the overall success of IFG. Our team of professional drivers log between 3.2 and 3.4 million miles annually, transporting residual wood products from IFG’s five north Idaho mills to customers across the region.

Like Baker Truck Service, IFG is a closely held, family-owned company that values high standards, teamwork and home-town ethics. As Baker Truck Service continues to grow, so does the demand for qualified drivers who have earned commercial driving licenses (CDL).
